OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY INTERNATIONAL UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS

The Ohio State University’s main Columbus campus is one of America’s largest and most comprehensive. More than 55,000 students select from 14 colleges, 175 undergraduate majors, and 240 master’s, doctoral, and professional degree programs. The Ohio State University is committed to enrolling a diverse and talented student population. The International Undergraduate Scholarship is offered on a competitive basis to qualified full-time, Columbus campus international freshmen who are required to pay the nonresident tuition surcharge. Those considered have ACT composite scores of 28 or higher or combined SAT Critical Reading and Math scores of 1260 or higher, and are applying for autumn semester.

At Walsh College we blend business theory and real-world experience to deliver educational programs that boost career success. Walsh is an independent, non-profit institution since 1922. We offer nine business and related technology degree programs at the bachelor, master, and doctoral levels that are responsive to student, employer, and community needs.

The Kulkarni International Student Scholarship is available to international students with F1 status and enrolled full-time at Walsh College. Scholarship recipients must also maintain a 3.0 GPA.

There are two levels of scholarships available, the LIM College MBA Merit and Recognition Scholarships, which will be awarded to academically outstanding MBA applicants each September and March. Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) International Student Research Fellowships support outstanding international predoctoral students studying in the United States who are ineligible for fellowships or training grants through U.S. federal agencies. HHMI will award three-year fellowships to international students to support years three, four, and five of a Ph.D. program. Eligible biomedical-related fields include biology, chemistry, physics, math, computer science, engineering, and plant biology—as well as interdisciplinary research.

THE RESEARCH CENTER FOR URBAN CULTURAL HISTORY FELLOWSHIPS

The University of Massachusetts Boston is nationally recognized as a model of excellence for urban public universities. It is the second-largest campus in the UMass system, and combines a small-college experience with the vast resources of a major research university.

The Research Center for Urban Cultural History at the University of Massachusetts Boston is offering a 3-4 week short-term visiting fellowship for Spring 2013. The RCUCH Flaherty Visiting Fellow will pursue a research project pertaining to urban cultural history; the project must be interdisciplinary, and be focused on the cultural history of cities, urban life, urban networks, urban materials or urban experience. The RCUCH invites applications with preference given to scholars at associate professor rank or above.
