  • Banda Aceh (April 27, 2010) : Seminar on Opportunities to Enroll at American Universities

     

    To learn about studying at U.S. universities, Aceh officials, NGO staff and general public are all invited to attend a seminar on Tuesday, April 27 in Banda Aceh in the Serba Guna meeting room of the Governor’s Office.

    On Tuesday, April 27, representatives from EducationUSA in partnership with the U.S. Consul General to Medan will share information and opportunities on how to access U.S. higher education, including programs of study, as well as scholarships and financial opportunities available. The seminar is free with no registration is necessary to attend.

    . universities can be both accessible and significantly more affordable or free than most people realize, especially to those who already speak English.

    EducationUSA will provide accurate, unbiased, comprehensive and objective information about education institutions in the United States and guidance to qualified individuals on how best to access those opportunities.  Attendees to the seminar will learn what opportunities are available, how to find universities that match their interests and needs, how to seek financial funding, and how to take the next steps in applying.  Additionally, attendees can register for direct financial assistance available from the U.S. Department of State to help prepare their English testing and to cover any university application costs.

    Seminars are open to any members of government, non-government organizations, and the general public on Tuesday, April 27 at the Aceh Governor’s Office, Serba Guna Meeting Room at the following times:

    • 10.00 – 12.00 WIB : U.S. University Opportunities for Government Employees
    • 14.00 – 16.00 WIB : U.S. University Opportunities for NGO and Civil Society
    • 17.00 – 18.30 WIB : U.S. University Opportunities for All Public

    Attendees can register to receive free personal consultations with EducationUSA advisers on Wednesday and Thursday, April 28 and 29, to learn more about what opportunities fit their personal interests and needs.
